Pickup my Total NV today and just got down practicing with it.It is going long and backend not nearly aggressive as i thought it would be.Pin is just outside the finger about a 1/4 side weight and 1/2 top.Drilling number three .Pap 3.5 out.Factory finish 4000 polished. How many games does it take to get the ball to hook aggressively.I bowled on a medium oil shot that was just layed down and had to play down and in to hit the pocket.I already got a down and in ball and don't need another. So do I need to get more games on the ball to get it to react stronger or should I just say screw it and take it down to 1000 or 2000 polish? Help please !!

I just picked up mine also so I don't know. I do know what I was told my by pro shop owner. He took a bit of the polish off his, still at 4000, just use a 4000 pad on it and he likes his a lot. I'm thinking of doing that myself. But I first want to keep working with it in box finish as I have 5 frames on it so far. But yes, mine too was going long, even with an aggressive drill, when I tried it Thursday night.

Take it down to 2000 then back up to 4000. It is just like The One was when it first came out,too polished.

So go without the polish? I did that with my infinate one and it eventually died. Would it be better to take it down to 500 and then a 1000 and then 2000 and then polish ? Or maybe even 1000 than polish. It seems that a polished ball is more reactive. Thanks Ben
