Trying to help my mother out
« on: March 08, 2005, 01:16:54 PM »
Hello,
This is my first time in the ebonite forum, and if you would be willing to give it I would be appreciative of any advise. This is my question. My mother has an ebonite Fire, and a Show Time sanded. She is a lower average bowler who is still learning to throw a hook. The Fire would usaually always take off on her and go Brooklyn, so she got the Show Time, because she said that at a Demo Day she loved how it worked for her. The ball that she purchased is not drilled the same way as the one she used at the Demo Day. It has less than an inch of pin to CG distance with the pin in a 4:00 position. This ball reacts similarly to her Fire, and she is struggling with it. She asked me to go on the net, and help her find out how to throw the show time. I figured this is the place to ask for help.

Mom's stats:
Right Handed, very slow ball speed, low revs.
Conditions that we bowl on generally have medium to heavy oil.
Any advise/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the length, but I wanted to give as clear a description as possible.
Thank You.
P.S. Ignore the signature (if you can)

Has she poished the Show Time yet?

If not, have your pro shop operator polish it and you should get more length out of it.

Also, have her MOVE deeper, then project the ball right a little bit more than she does already.

Hope this helps!

Thanks.
I don't know why I didn't think of those ideas!
Preciate it.

can always go with a Tornado or Tornado Warning. they are lower priced bowling balls for bowlers learning to hook the ball.
