Ebonite Overtime - Your thoughts?

Hey guys, I am contemplating punching up an Overtime
to be my first ball out of the bag for most mediums.

I know some people are reporting this ball as stronger
than advertised, but I already have the Big One and
Two of The One's (1 is Factory Polished and other is
Scuffed to 800).

What do you guys think?

You need this ball about as much i as need the 250 balls i already have hahaha I personally love the big one and the overtime you could bag the scuffed one or repolish it up again.

Great ball, I have the One and the Big One, both with the #1 layout, One in box (4000+polish) and Big One at 1500 sanded (white scotchbrite) and I find that the OT fits perfect right in between these, I have mine layed out pin down and to the right of ring, CG stacked, 3 in. pin, cover at 2000 grit, no polish.  Ball is essentially a benchmark of sorts for me, but definitely gets a nice move on the backend, not necessarily a flip, but more of a hard arc.  With this ball, if it starts to burn I can either go to the One for more length and a harder arc, or the Horizon for even more length and a pronounced flip.

Hey Ram,

From your videos and your style and going by what you already have in your bag, i think that the Over Time would be a phenominal ball to fit you. One suggestion, if you are afraid that it will be TOO strong of a ball, you can just have the CG kicked out 1 inch or so to make it roll more than flip.

My benchmark ball. It never fails and i shot my first 300 with it. I got it for Christmas and i've made substantial improvements with my average with it.  Alot of folks have overlooked it but it's probably one of the best ballz out there. It'll be fun to see what Ebonite will do with the Smashtime to keep it going. Hopefully we won't be dissappointed.

Ram,

  Got mine used from Iketown.  Drilled pin under bridge, cgswung wide with no x-hole.  Ball is legal, but just barely. Surface polished.

  My game is a rev dominant game ( meaning my revs overpower my downlane speed and are the dominant factor in when and how much my ball reacts ) and this ball with polish on it is a BACKEND MONSTER for me.

  The house I shoot in runs a THS about 32 feet with a buff to 41 ft.  I CANNOT USE THIS BALL THE FIRST GAME. I have to use my Ice or my V2sweet for the first game until a bit of carrydown appears, but then my overtime becomes a virtual STRIKE MACHINE!

  I know, lots of others say it is smooth, but not with my style and this drilling for me. This thing flat out CORNERS for me and I have to be careful to keep the speed up or I will leave humongous splits, but if I keep the release firm and the speed up a bit, it is almost a guaranteed strike.

  Just got back to using mostly ebonites, but so far, this is one of the best I have found, but pretty strong too.

ram, time series didnt work too well for me.. so i cant give u a good opinion. i just stick with ones crossfires and pumas , oh my.

It can be used on mediums with the correct surface prep, oob it is VERY strong.  I would definatly get this ball.  As compared with the One and the Big One, I find that it is more readable and easier to get to the pocket.  With the drilling I had on it (I say had just because I went Morich and sold most of my Ebonite) it was very even and tended to force me away from inside lines.  Such compromised the versitility of the ball, but its reaction was great on difficult shots.
