Used Infinite One
« on: January 06, 2007, 05:35:20 AM »
I am thinking of buying a used infinite one.  i have never owned ebonite and have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this ball.  is there anyone who would recommend it?  Is $75 too much for it used?  any input would be greatly appreciated

$75 is a decent price if the ball is MINT. Another hint is this. Try to find a used ball that is as to your actual span as you can find. That way it cuts done on the plugwork you will have to do to the ball. Finding one with the pin and cg in the position that you like is also a plus. Thats way all you have to do is change out the grips (if it has grips) and reslug the thumb..

im a lefty, so i will have to plug it unless there is anyone who is also lefty that would like to sell one of these.  maybe i can use that to get the guy to come down, he doesnt throw it and it only has 10-15 games

If it was me, I would not buy a righty ball and then plug it all up and drill it up lefty. Thats alot of plugwork especially if it has a weighthole to be plugged as well. If the plugwork is done well, it probably will not affect the roll of the ball, but if its shoddy plugwork, you will have problems. I know alot of people say if you do that your track area with be just fine, but I would wait until you find a lefty drilled one. They are around, trust me. Just have to look and be patient..
