From people who have owned both, what is your opinions on how the balls compare?

Strong rolls a lot earlier than the particle. Strong is better for more oil situations. I believe the particle is a bit more versatile though across various conditions. All depends on what you are looking for.

I have a Particle drilled about 5x 3 and a strong about 5 x 4.

the strong is more angular and particle has more roll. I can swing the Strong better.

I have the Strong polished with ebonite extender polish.

they give me a great 1,2 punch on fresh lanes. I start out on the fresh playing the oil line with the particle then instead of moving to deep away from the oil line. I go back to the oil line and use the Strong.

I'm pretty sure that I could use one or the other and be fine if I want to wind up 10-15 boards deeper by game three. but I set them up that way because the strong was my first particle and did not know what to expect.

if I had it over to do again I would drill the Strong 5 x 3 to smooth out the backend and give it a 1500 matte finish. I could probably hang around the oil line all night.
