I've thrown both and I think that the V2 Sanded and the Bruiser are equal in smoothness and control but the V2 gets into an earlier roll and has a sweeping hook. The Bruiser gets down the lane a good ways and then when it comes in, it comes in really smooth. It also depends on the layout, bowler, lanes, etc., but I think that they are about the same for the reaction at their breakpoint. if you needed something for heavier oil, then I'd get the V2. The Bruiser is a very good benchmark ball and medium oil ball. I haven't sanded my Bruiser because I never felt the need so I don't know how it reacts sanded.
