V2 Strong/R vs. V2 Sanded
« on: December 31, 2005, 01:49:54 AM »
How similar would these two balls be bearing similar drillings in their out of box finishes?

I know the Strong/R has a higher RG core and a 500 grit cross-hatch finish as compared to the Sanded's ultra low RG and 1000 grit abralon. But they almost seem to cancel out to me. Can anyone comment on these two balls?

The cover stock formula of the strong/r is more agressive and although it has a higher rg than the sanded, the differential is also alot higher.  One other thing to keep in mind is that surface is the largest factor into how a ball will react.  A cover at 500 grit will move alot earlier than a cover at 1000 grit.
