Title: v2 sweet / v2 sanded
Post by: JJ on April 14, 2006, 01:26:28 AM
Would appreciate any input on these two balls from people that have them. I have the xx cel and this ball is great but very strong even at 2000 Abralon. I have a cross fire coming but I am also interested in a v2 sweet or sanded for medium/light conditions (THS). Which do you think would be the better one of the two balls? Stats in profile. Thank you.

Thanks for the replies. After further review the V2 sanded sounds too strong for what I am looking for. Then to make matters worse BTM rates the Cross Fire (17/13/41) weaker than the V2 Sweet (14.5/15.5/45). Ebonite rates the Cross Fire a little stronger than V2 Sweet. They show the Cross Fire with a length of 16.5 and hook 21.75. They list the V2 Sweet with a length of 18.2 and hook  at 20.50. I don't know if there would be enough difference between the Cross Fire and V2 sweet to have them both. Has anyone thrown both of these balls? Thanks.

You should really reconsider about that v2 sanded. Better Grab one before you cant find one anywhere!

Q:  if i added soem surface to a v2 sweet would it react the same as a v2 sanded??  Cuz technically they are both the modified nitro core and trimax solid reactive coverstock...It would make sense because the v2 sanded is so hard to come by nowadays.

If you took the polish off it, it would be really close. I had a sweet, wife has a Sanded, I took off the polish and had a close reaction as hers. We do have different styles, so it was hard to say exact, but it was close. I think, with some adjustment, you could make it really close, JMO.
