I don't think it's a knockoff, but even if it was: so what? They re-release balls all the time. Old core/cover combos.

It could be better, and so many companies overlap their stuff that everything is a "knock off" of everything.

Right, Mutant Cell PEARL knockoff!!

While the Vital solid is a dull (2000 grit) Solid with a low mass Bias (.014")inteded for medium-heavy to heavy oil and
the MC PEARL is a Polished, pearl with a stronger mass bias( .021") intended for medium oil.
Sure, they''re almost freaking indentical!

im having a hard time believing that this is a knock off of the mutant cell pearl.
1.) the core designs are not similar
Here is the vital sign http://ebonite.com/products/product_detail/vital_sign
Here is the mutant cell pearl http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=68

2.) The rg and diffs are different. In the mutant Cell Pearl the rg is higher at 2.52 and the diff is lower at .048. The Vital sign rg is 2.49 and diff is .052

3.) The mutant Cell pearl is "PEARL", the vital sign is a "SOLID"

Im not really sure but everything about the two are different. Where do u people come up with this stuff.

Words of advise. Limiting your self to just one company is never smart. Get proven balls out on the market. Global, Storm inc, Ebonite international, er what ever it may be.

I am really liking the new ebonite international stuff. The stuff hits really well, and I am for the first time in a while seeing a predictable roll out of there stuff. I got alot of over/under out of the older stuff. Bout to put some miles on the hardball and backlash tonight.. I am very happy with the new lineup!

Vital sign is a pearl.  Just because it is sanded does not make it a solid.  Look at it in the sun!

The core shape is similar wings and all.

I didn't say it was a good knock off.

1. If ball A has a 2000 grit dull surface and ball B has a 1500 grit highly polished one, how can you possibly think one's ball reaction was designed to emulate the other's??

2. Can you HONESTLY say that this core
Vital Sign: http://ebonite.com/products/product_detail/vital_sign
looks even remotely like this one,
Mutant Cell Pearl: http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=68 ????

Not to mention that to be a "knockoff" one would think release dates would be a bit further apart.

Why would Ebonite copy a ball that nobody knows is gonna be successful yet?

Just a real dumb comment through and through.

Who knows? Hard to tell these days with all the arguing about who's balls are biggest.

Imo every company is putting out wonderful stuff.
