Warranty Question
« on: November 24, 2004, 09:31:40 AM »
Here's the scoop: I trade a ball for a v2 Clean even up. The v2
arrives today and it has a crack around the ball, starting at
the ring finger,up and around the pin, and goes all the way to the
thumb. The guy I traded with said the ball only has 5 games
on it, and it is in immaculate condition. First thing I did
was check for a ding, to see if it had hit a rake arm,
or had been dropped. There are no marks on the ball
to indicate anything other than the 5 games use.
It was double boxed and wrapped in quite a bit
of newspaper, shipped UPS. It is drilled
with grips and a thumb slug, and if I remember
right, that voids the warranty. So, I don't
know if it was like that before shipping, happened during
shipping or anything. Any suggestions? Thanks, raff.

If you are not the original owner and can provide a receipt form a pro shop, you can forget about getiing another ball. Plus with the finger grips, there is no way they will do anything to help you. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but when you buy a used ball and its damaged and you think it can be replaced under manufacturer warranty, thats just not gonna happen, sorry..

I agree with jkiser01.  You're only recourse is to file a claim with UPS.
