For people that have thrown the TORNADO's
« on: November 23, 2004, 05:41:33 PM »
How does the Blue/Violet compare to the Red/Silver Pearl... I know one's a solid and one's a pearl. But I had a B/V andit was super strong the backend and alot of people agree to.

So I'm wondering if the pearl version is even stronger on the backend?

the blue is strong on the backend(from personal experience)...the only red silver one ive seen was thrown by some who's completely differnt from myself.  For him cranker+speed it was stronger than his barbed wire(for what thats worth)

sorry

Well you know what I think of Blue Violet.

Almost as big on backend as the a Demolition Zone unless there is carrydown.
That's big!

As to the Red/silver.  I remember this and seeing this.  Anyone who got one was usually a strong thrower looking for a go straight and then flip option.

Almost everyone I know who got it thought it was too strong and too early.
Even with pearl surprisingly grabby and wanted to go high or crossover.

Lot of total hook for a supposedly sort of weak core.

The one that had the best reaction of all of these balls was the Dynamic Groove from Brunswick and the Scout pearl.  This if one was looking for straight for 45 feet with little midlane then bam!

REgards,

PS still have a Dynamic and when right!  Oh man!

Yeah I agree with the rest. My first reactive "hooking ball" was the Lt. Blue/Violet. I wanted a stronger ball than the houseballs since I threw w/o the thumb back then. The first ball I threw, it skidded about 1/2 the lane and made a break for the gutter. Rather strong backend for an entry level ball. Hits as hard as my V2 sanded in polished state and my V2 clean. It keeps the pins low but definately carries and the pinfall high.
