Warrior Elite vs Scandal
« on: May 26, 2016, 03:26:30 PM »
Can anyone (who has actually thrown both) compare the Scandal vs Warrior Elite? As much as I love the Scandal, I think I may need to go above it for Nats, particularly in minors. Considering the Warrior Elite in that slot.

Thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Can't speak to the Scandal but I do have the Elite and have used it for the past several months.  With my slower speed this ball is a monster.  I bowl in four different houses (traveling league) and can only use it in two of these and that's after I had it polished.  For me it picks up in the mid lane and has a very strong finish.  It is (for me) a hard arc and not a skid-snap shape.  A great ball but it needs oil.

Hope this helps a little.

I asked the same question when the Scandal came out. Here's what Plowboy mentioned:

Quote
Bradl - the motion between the Scandal & Warrior Elite are different. the Warrior Elite for me gets down the lane a little cleaner and stronger down the lane than the Scandal. The Scandal hooks earlier and still reads the mids & strong backend continuation down the lane... Scandal is a WOW ball motion - about 3 boards stronger than the Paradox for me, which is amazing to see!

Bold for emphasis. Both will be stronger down the lane, with the Elite being cleaner getting down the lane while the Scandal hooks earlier.

Both need oil, but I'd definitely put both in the bag, as the overall motion will be the difference maker between the two balls.

The WE is below the scandal IMO
The warrior elite is asymmetric vs the scandal which is symmetrical

The scandal is pretty much the strongest beast on the planet not to mention in the EBI lineup
both are good to have in your bag as they will offer a different motion as mentioned above, I would say you don't necessarily need stronger, but different is also  a good strategy to have in the bag

The warrior elite is a fairly strong ball, but the scandal is a whole different animal.  Mine is 6-7 boards stronger than my warrior elite.  The warrior elite gets through the midlane a little cleaner and is softer off the spot.  It's simply not as much ball.  I like it on typically medium patterns when I'm playing the track and sometimes it will let me creep into about 4th arrow if the backends are crispy.  For me the scandal is best for playing between 15-25 if the lanes are playing well.  It's too strong to get much further right and too early to get any deeper than that.  Anywhere in between and it's a monster.
