Dale has an opinion, and I guess, he is entitled to it. I don't think I am/was far from seeing his point, but he just goes too far for me.
Not Ebonite, but technology in general, is what he is talking about. Why he has focused his energies in the direction of Ebonite Industries has me a little dumbfounded. If they were the ONLY ONES doing these things, it might be different, but they aren't. ALL the manufacturers are taking advantage of the rules and specs, using modern technology and materials to create balls with capabilities nobody even thought possible just 10-15 years ago.
Dale, while I agree with some of your point in principle, I also think that we must accept that the game has changed forever and will never return to its "heyday". Life has a funny thing called survival of the fittest where you either have to accept and adapt or get left behind and die.
I, myself, have chosen to accept and adapt. They may be ruining bowling for you, but they have "fixed" it for countless others and, in this society, majority rules my friend. Que sera, sera
.
