My bite was drilled for length (pin over bridge), my magic is drilled to hook sooner (pin under ring), and what I found is the magic gets down the lane around 30 feet, and begins to get into its roll, then just snaps left. The bite was about the same in length, but has less recovery, and did not handle the heavy stuff for me. I am easily 5-6 boards deeper with the Magic, then I was with the bite. Also the bite absorbed oil very fast, like most oilers do. What I mean by that is this: The Bite I can throw and if it sat on the rack while I used another ball, the oil would soak into the ball (don't know if this was a soaker cover or not), where as the oil sits on the cover of the magic, and just wipes clean (Flexol). This alone will probably lead to more games before you have to soak the ball. The bite was a very good ball, don't get me wrong. When it comes to recovery, carry, and consistent roll, its not even close.
