Ebonite's Worst Ball Ever
« on: December 11, 2005, 10:15:36 AM »
What would you all say is Ebonite's worst ball ever and why? Anything, but plastics please. I'm fairly pleased with all of the 3 Ebonite balls I've thrown so far, Gyro, APEX (original), and APEX Obsession. Of the 3 I'd have to say that I was the most disappointed with the Original. It just didn't do anything for me. I don't recall if I ever even broke 200 with it except during a 9 pin no tap tourney.

Look for me in the upcoming PBA Tour! I'll be the guy in the back row with the foam finger singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" during the 7th inning.

Ebonite's One. I can't stand the frenzy over it. If it doesn't work, it's always attributed to operator error. Why are so many people afraid to call it a bad a ball? I've never seen so many posts about how to make it work when it isn't, or people selling them left and right saying that it just didn't fit their style.

All that having been said, I have a 14# 2nd drill One with less than 15 games on it. Span is 4 1/2 by 5/8. Pin 3 1/2" It's drilled with pin right of ring, and cg in palm just right of center grip line. It has minor tracking, and several small nicks. The only one big enough to be called a gouge is half an inch long and almost 1/8 inch wide. It isn't near the track. Pics upon request. Looking for $50. + shipping from 65203 or open to trades. I'm mainly looking for 15 or 16, with like span, drilled stacked, any companies other than Storm, AMF, or Brunswick. I prefer older balls in near mint condition with early reaction and strong backend in heavier oil. It really is an excellent ball, it's just too much ball for me, and doesn't fit my style (or so I'm told).
