Which ball to replace V2 Clean?

Which ball replaced the V2 Clean?
Looking for ebonite or any other suggestions for replacing a V2 Clean.

You might want to try the Whirl Wind.

Cross Fire might be the better choice.  It's much milder than the WhirlWind seems to be.

When I dropped from 16 to 15 lbs. last year, I replaced my V2 Clean with the Whirlwind.  The Whirlwind is a good replacement for the V2 Clean.  With a similar drill on the WW, it will be slightly stronger than the V2 Clean.

I am very satisfied with the WW, it packs plenty of punch for the price.  It is very versatile and responds well to changes in release and ball speed.  It has been overlooked because of the popularity of the higher priced Ebonite lines.

And the CrossFire has the same coverstock as the WW, but these balls aren't even close to being similar.  Just because a ball has the same coverstock, doesn't mean that the company hasn't tweaked/enhanced it to seperate it from another ball with the same(similar) coverstock.

Besides... the WW and CF are both pearl versions of the Big Bang XL, the V2 Clean has the solid version.

The Whirlwind is not a pearl.  It is a solid.  They WW has the same cover as the Clean just a different core.  I personally like the WW better than the V2 Clean.  The Clean in my hands was very touchy down the lane...if any carrydown it was bad, if the backends were real clean it would go left (right handed) very hard.  I find the WW to be much more consistant (likely due to the core difference, light bulb).

Okay, but just about every publication and website contradicts your opinion of the WW being a solid.  We can agree to disagree and I'll even concede that the WW doesn't contain as much pearl additive as the CF, but it's still NOT a SOLID!

I work in a shop and own one.  This is from Ebonite's web-site, this site,  and is also in the Ebonite Pro shop literature  

Coverstock: Big Bangâ„¢ XL reactive resin polished with Powerhouseâ„¢ Factory Finish ball polish

Does not say pearl.  There is an XL solid and an XL pearl cover (Crossfire).  Also, BTM has it listed in the reactive solid category same as the Black Widow.  Jeff U. any comments here??
