Which would y'all say is a better dry lane ball, the Whirlwind or the CrossFire? or does it matter?

You might want to consider the ICE also. Nice looking ball for drier lanes.
-
The CrossFire will give you a stronger arc than the Ice, so I'd go with the Ice. JMO.

For drier lanes, I prefer the Ice. Whirlwinds are a little stronger than you might think. If you want the standard light-bulb shape core, go with the Crossfire. Don't rule out an extremely shiny Overtime with a weak layout either. This has been exceptionally good for me.

Blue Ice is awesome on dry lanes. Hard to believe a ball that cheap hits that hard.

I frequent this site a lot and I see Mr. Ussery's name a lot in the Ebonite section. Are you sponsored by Ebonite or something. Also, I would like to get in contact with you and ask you some specific questions about their equipment. Thanks

Neither of these will work as a dry lane ball. The covers are too aggressive. But I do have a single drill Crossfire that I'll sell to you for $45 shipped.
Great ball... for mediums.

Thanks for the complement there!

That's a pretty BOLD statement Jeff. You are good!.......but I think IBPSIA gives you a run for your money as "The Absolute Best" proshop training in the industry. After all you're a former IBPSIA instructor and when Denny Torgerson and Mo Pinel are providing indepth instruction for 5 days in the advanced course anyone would be hard pressed to top that knowledge base. Throw in the BPAA support along with 4 other industry leading pro shop owners/master ball fitters and you have a recipe for success. I'll give you credit as you are good and you were one of my favorite instructors in Orlando a couple years ago. I like your confidence!

I'd recommend Jeff for your proshop training, he is very knowledgeable and a good guy too boot.

It's impossible to compare the two until you've seen both, which very few people have. One is a large class size over a 4-day period. Ours is a small class size over a 5-day period. So the two classes are just dynamically different.
I just feel that we offer an excellent program along with the intimate, small class feeling that is necessary for the highest level of understanding. I'm obviously proud of our classes and the ciricculum, and I know our previous students feel the same.
Thanks for the comments!
