why did ebonite go away from the V2 core in this ball? also, what ball did they use that core in earlier? it looks familiar. thanks!

They went to an asymetric core for this ball so it would be less rolly with more "pop" on the backend. From all reports they have succeeded.

There has been like 12 balls with the core in it. it was time for a change. The new EMP core is longer and stronger overall and a better fit in the new Ebonite line. This is a great core.

the Ebonite V2 line. its were the core cam from. go to Ebonite.com / retired balls. The V2 was around for around 8-10 years on and off.

i know they used a different core. you thread asked why they went away from the V2. I answer because they have used the core as much as they could and it was time for a change. You can only put so many covers on the same core.

the gamebreaker, pin slasher, and playmaker are the v2 series cores.

Ebonite is looking for a longer and stronger reaction from the entire line and the v2 core does the exact opposite. the low rg just isnt what Ebonite wants in there line. you need a higher rg and a higher diff.
