If memory serves, the Big One is a symmetric core, but has a mass bias of somewhere around .027.

Asyms and I just never get along. With my release, they just seem to lope sickly down the lane (4 different balls).

Thoughts on whether the Big One would react to me like a sym or asym are appreciated.

It's an asymmetric. Forget about "symmetric mass bias"; it has an intermediate differential, a preferred spin axis, and it will settle on a deTerminator.

The mass bias is created using different density materials in the core. That Ebonite doesn't show what parts are what densities like, say, Storm does with their RAD cores doesn't make it less asymmetric.

Thanks for the thoughts, but I've seen all that. The other 4 Asyms I've tried had indeed asym cores, whereas this one has a sym core design. Despite a high MB, this still eads me to question the potential that it might react like a sym to me. Ball sounds grwat, perhaps I'm trying to rationalize.

You can no longer think in terms of asymmetric or symmetric cores. The One family uses a symmetric core but creates the imbalance (MB or PSA or anything else you choose to call it) by using different densities for the pieces that make up the core.

In any case, it has a very strong imbalance; so all precautions that hold with what you previously called, "asymmetrics" apply here, as in all MoRich balls, Brunswick's Zone balls and Track's and Storm's premium balls.

As far as I know the word symmetric has to do with distribution of appearance, not weight/mass. (On the planet earth, I believe the two are identical for practical purposes. On other planets or celestial bodies with gravities different from the planet Earth's gravity,mass and weight are different.)

Yes, the different densities of the different parts of the One's and the Big One's cores distribute the weight, so as to have one side much heavier than the other, thus creating the imbalance.

King of the mill calls it asymmetric ...probably for drilling purposes....that's where I got it.

Bottom line --- it has the highest mass bias of any ball on the market. And Mass Bias is generally created by asymetriciality.
