The future of Ebonite International?
« on: May 12, 2016, 11:51:12 AM »
I just an email from BlockBusterBowling.com (12:50 PM, 5/12). In it was this piece of news:

"... KR Industries is taking over all of Ebonite International which is Ebonite, Columbia,
Hammer and Track."

I'm not sure if this means they will be making their bowling bags or if KR has bought the whole company.

Edit (5:00 PM Eatsern, 5/12): Blockbuster just got back to me; "KR has the contract to make all of Ebonite International's bags, accessories and shoes."

BlockBuster also added:
"KR Industries, which made Brunswick bowling, shoes is now going to have their own shoe line, as well as making shoes for Ebonite and they will have Hammer bowling shoes for all you Hammerheads out there!"

From what I have heard... KR did not buy EBI (Ebonite International), they are suppliers for EBI's bags and soon to be shoes...

That makes sense to me, but that is not what those words mean, to me, anyway. I wish BlockBuster would have said exactly what they meant. I sent them a reply/question to clarify their message.

This is Copied from KR Strikeforce's Web:
2016 – Strikeforce Signed a licensing agreement with Ebonite International. Bringing Hammer, Ebonite, Columbia, Track, Robby’s, and Powerhouse into the Strikeforce licensing umbrella.  Strikeforce Athletic and Hammer Bowling Shoes were released to the market.

Ok, Major correction by BlockBuster (they just got back to me, 5:00 PM Eastern, 5/12):

"KR has the contract to make all of Ebonite International's bags ,
accessories and shoes."

So we were right; it's just the bags, with KR now making their own shoes and doing it for Hammer.

Rob Lawrence will be our Guy To Go to for K.R. Bags. And Yes They bought Linds Shoes. We should see Hammer removable sole shoes at Bowl Expo.
