I've grown very fond of this ball.

I bowled a baker team tournament a few weeks ago and went to this ball late at the suggestion by the Brunswick rep I  was bowling with.

The next day it was the first ball out of my bag for a doubles tournament in Waterloo , IA. I threw it all 6 games of qualfying averaging 250.

I did shine it. And drilled it 4x4 w/ a hole on the val.

It is worth  a try.

I just recently recieved my viper along with the other lane pattern balls... I placed the pin under the middle of my two fingers and kicked the cg off to the left about 3 1/2 inches. I had 1 1/5oz side no finger no thumb in it and put a weight hole in my PAP with a 3/4 in bit taking it down to 7/8 oz side ... I shined mine with elite polish and without sanding the ball at all so it wasnt that shiny...

I am a cranker/tweener and this ball only works great on a down and in look or a look that requires less boards to cross. This ball is super predictable and dont overreact like some particle balls. The strokers looking for a ball to get down the lane but able to play the track will love this ball. Beware this ball comes dull also and I dont see anybody using this surface often.

I think this is a ball every bowler needs when hitting screaming backend but I wouldnt recommend this ball to someone with alot of hand because of the price u pay. I realize most people dont like heavy rolling balls and this one is just that. Still a wonderful product by Elite that everyone should recongnize!!! John Davis
