I recieved this ball along with the rest of the other elite balls in this series... I feel like this ball hooks allmost as much as the P43 but the best part is that it provides more length and more backend reaction. This ball has to have oil, the spec says med. to oily lanes, but I am feeling this ball favors the oily vs. med.!

 However this is a super rolling ball and the carry is unbelievable! I drilled this one and put the pin under my ring finger and kicked the cg off about 2 inches, leaving me side and thumb weight. I feel if you have alot of backend then this ball with hook more than the P43 if u can believe that. Along with the R47, this ball hits so nice light in the pocket. Simply blows the pins around and doesnt just crush them. People may judge this ball and not buy it because it is ugly but I am telling you right now, dont judge it by the looks but by the performance... Anybody that buys this ball cant go wrong because this ball suits all bowling styles. I have let a few people throw mine to just see different techniques with this ball and it works perfect for everyone!

I rate this ball a strong 9 because I know this ball will kill allmost all house conditions. The only bad part of this ball is you have to have head oil. Without head oil this ball is doomed and not even because of hooking early but the over-all hook of this bad boy. This ball comes shinny out of the box and I havent changed the surface simply because it fit my game perfect right out of the box. If some of you have never tried an Elite bowling ball than this ball is a must. You cant beat the money for the performance this ball provides! Elite is making awsome products so just dont let the mind judge the name or the colors of this ball because there is where you gonna go wrong at!!!!

Extremely versatile ball. Very layout friendly and extremely tunable. I have a couple of these balls drilled and I am very happy with the performance. I can go with a more early rolling layout and take the cover to 600 and this ball will cut the heaviest of patterns. I also can take a weaker layout and some Elite polish and it's perfect on the shortest of lane conditions.

I don't ever like comparing a ball to another ball, but here I go. I think this ball is very similar to the original Inferno. Here, I am saying the R43, which is in the Performance Line is comparable to the greatest Inferno ever made. One hell of a comparison!! The way the two balls read the lane and react - and also can be layed out and tuned.

Oh by the way, I seen the original Inferno sell for $300 on E-bay the other day. Save some money and give the R43 a shot!

My R-43 was the first of 5 new arsenal pieces I purchased back in the 2005-2006 season early. My proshop had the pin 1" above and 4" out with the cg in the palm(I'm a right hander). The first time I threw it was at a 5 person tournament on wood conditions, known for a dryer back end. Shot a 229 first game and couldn't keep it on the lane after that. Didn't use it much until about 6 weeks ago, where I had the ball plugged, re-drilled, ( 1030 drilling, pin 1" above the ring finger) and messed with the coverstock 3 times in one week. Finally went to a 200 aberlon(fresh pads) and haven't shot less that a 650 with it using it all 3 games without changing balls. I find that when the mids are a little greasy to start off with, my power drive is a good one to kick the night off with and when it starts driving too hard then the R-43 is a great finisher for the night.
