Been using the ELITE brand this season, and have been impressed, especially by the ECHO, but also have an ESPIONAGE that hadn't seen much action. It was an earlier type read than the ECHO, with a somewhat rollier movement.
Not ever really seeing enough volume to use it, I decided to polish it up and see what happened. SO, over the factory surface, I applied a medium coat of 3M's Finesse it. OOOOOOOHHHHHH man does this ball look great shined up!
Not only that, but this thing is now making it hard to choose which one comes out of the bag first, it or the ECHO.
The polish really changed the read on this ball, but it also brought out a VERY tacky feeling in the cover, feeling almost sticky.
Thing is, the ball kept some of the "rolly" aspect of its nature, while now getting down the lane much cleaner. I thought it might make the ball too over/under, but no, it has not.
The ball is now almost a perfect compliment to the ECHO. The polished ESPIONAGE gets down the lane and through the heads just as easy and cleanly as the ECHO, but comes off the spot different. Where the ECHO has a sharper definition of breakpoint, the ESPIONAGE has a definite hard arc movement to it.
Not shooting honor scores with them (YET hopefully), but these balls continue to impress me not only with their performance, but now also with their versatility.
If you are shopping online for some ball purchases, give this company a look, because I now believe they are one of the most overlooked excellent products out there.
