Well, just when I was getting going, the oil machine goes haywire, and we get some really weird conditions. Shot was different from lane to lane, and the shot was different on each lane of each pair. Hard to get lined up this way.
On the bright side of things, I am becoming quite enamored with this ECHO. It does things that I, quite frankly, wasn't expecting it to do.
On the left lane, there was a big "hold" spot. On the right lane the "hold" wasn't nearly the same, but you did have more "swing" area. So, had to play the left lane tight, and the right lane wide open.
Guess what? I could do that with this ball, and still only need to use one ball, and I was able to use it all three games. On the tight left lane, I could play the ball up the boards, and it would still "POP" on the backends. On the right lane, I was able to play a pretty big swing shot, and the Echo would always make a predictable, strong move.
Left a solid 8 once on the left lane, and a couple of solid 9's on the right. That's a sign that I still had plenty of power, whether I swung the ball or played it up the track.
If things work out, I am going to try to get some video of me throwing this thing, and even some footage using the Espionage. Don't think I'm seeing the right condition here for the Espionage. It has great tendencies too, but just more ball than I have been needing. Seems much "rollier" than the Echo, but hits well, and the carry is good as well.
I'll see if I can get some video of them soon. Wanted to shoot some in actual league play, but some others complained about that, so guess I will just have to shoot some pacer/practice with them.
Even with the screwy shots, I was able to shoot a 600 series, although just barely, as the right hand lane really started to go away the last game, and I had to make a 10 board adjustment just to stay in the pocket area on it. Playing 20 on one lane, and having to play a big swing over 30 on the other, tends to make it hard to shoot big numbers, at least it does for this 53 year old.
