The oob surface on the Green Alien is 600 grit (I emailed Elite with the same question).

Im so glad people are brainwashed to thinking that if they buy a new ball they will carry everything. And its even funnier when im carrying with my 15 year old ball and they're going flat ten.

I guess I should have been more specific, my green Alien has a 1" pin and I have both the pin and cg in my palm, so I did try the maroon first for heavy oil and it worked well for that, the green also worked well for that. I now have it at the grey to combat carry down and heads that are starting to get a little spotty, I use this sometimes as my second game or mid-second game ball and with this surface and drilling I usually just kind of fluff the release and it handles the carry down pretty well. And btw I did use my ball spinner and the six sided method to sand, next I will try 1500 grit and Beans Secret Sauce just see what I get, for I really like it on my Gold Label for mediums.

But do you know that the results of either of those products varies greatly with the amount of pressure when used to scuff a ball?
