I got this ball used from my dad.  It has a good backend reaction and nice length.  Not ball for heavier oils unless you have above average hand.  Good for me from medium to medium dry.  Used it for 2 months and switched to 15lbs, it was 16.  I put a spike in the thumbhole and broke it in half with a sledge hammer.  Then I shot the core with a 44 mag.  Hard core. Stopped the bullet kind of, went into the grass and i picked it up and saved it.  Sledge Hammer R.I.P.

A review for this ball is way over due as it has been a mainstay for me in the last year now.

Got the ball used (and I know Jim K is kicking himself...just kidding) and I'll say this.....I wish I had more of this.  So much...that I got one from eBay from Deuce300 and have my eyes on another!!  Luckylefty and I have praised this ball for some time now.

Ball is drilled with pin about 1/2 inch from ring at about 2:00 position, CG kicked way out to the right, and hot spot at almost 3:00 to the thumb.

Ball is an oil monster....and I make no bones about it.  This is my oil ball plain and simply put.  I had the Super Carbide Bomb thinking it would outdo this ball......and sad to say....it didn't.  The Sledge simply handles oil like nothing else I have owned.

Now, if the oil starts to go, I do notice that the ball speed need to be adjusted a little along with putting the ball out a little more.  LLIght hits it sprays all over the place.

Overall, this ranks as the second best ball Faball made...that I have used.....behind the Hi-Rev.  Then again, I haven't used the Blue Hammer.

Want an oil ball??  This is a damn good one.
Forgiveness is Divine.....but revenge is the most satisfying way to resolve the issue!!

BallReviews.com.....going down the toilet....one nugget at a time!!

Received this classic from fellow BR G_thing. Ball was a single drill, 15lber with a 3" pin, drilled stacked leverage. Span was almost perfect, just put new thumb slug and vacu-grips in and had me a new ball. Basically a down'n'in power tweener, this ball lets me play several different lines, but excels straight up 10. Reads the mids as well as any ball in my arsenal and makes a strong, predictable move on our house shot which is fairly heavy. Classic Faball hit and carry! Any Hammerhead will attest to that. Will put this one up against the latest state of the art equipment out there. A slow start to the fall season prompted me to pull this one out to work some of it's magic and bust an early season slump. Mission accomplished! Won't hesitate to go to this one more often. 10 out of 10 Hammers!!!
