I recently got a used 16lb 3D High Rev Offset from Ebay.  The finger span was the same, so all I needed to do is put new finger inserts and tape in the thumb hole and it was good to go.  The ball came polished.  I'm assuming that this is 1000 grit.

I bowl in a center that has old wood lanes with medium oil conditions.  I was surprised how soon this ball reved on the lane.  I credit Mo Pinel for creating a ball that really creates alot of revolutions.  I found that the best line to play this ball is the inside line.  This ball goes long and makes a strong move to the pocket.  What I like is that this ball does not overreact.  When it hits the dry part of the lane, it simply arcs into the pocket.  The pins just fly all over the place.  It's very versatile.  

I've owned the Hammer High Rev, and I have to say that the original, with the Mo Pinel designed core, is 10 times better!

This review is for the 3-D Offset Super Hook. Received this one in a trade with a fellow BR member. Ball was in very good shape for a 9 yr old ball. Single drill with pin next to ring, cg swung out and the HOT spot just right of thumb. A strong drill to say the least. Spans were so close to mine I would consider it a single drill after a new thumb slug was put in. Have used it first out of bag during summer league. Ball is at 800 grit box finish and handles the heavy first-shift shot easily. More length than my 3-D High Rev and more backend as well. Carry is typical of any 3-D Offset- awesome! Had heard in the past that alot of people did not like this one. I'm only sorry I didn't pick one up sooner! They are very hard to find, esp. one in great used condition. Virtually impossible to find NIB. Ball reacts well to a variety of conditions and is very versatile. Haven't tried it polished as we don't see light oil much, but I have pearls for lighter shots. This one is a winner and if you ever get a chance to try one I highly suggest it. ONLY downside is the ball is high maintenance and picks up dirt easily. I will clean this one after each set and hope I can get many years out of it!
