Why doesn't someone make the Urethanes anymore?
« on: January 28, 2004, 07:58:52 PM »
Yes, I know Faball is out of business, but that doesn't mean someone can't make these balls anymore.

I had the Blue, Burgundy, Purple, Navy Resin, Red Pearl, and Red Hammers.  I am trying to get my hands on some more.  Nothing is/was better IMO.

Some of the posts in this forum are right on target; these balls would last forever, and we wouldn't be part of the "Ball of the Month" club.  However, I have seen on Ebay where Brunswick has made some more of the Quantum line, and there have been some balls re-done by Columbia, (Pulse, Beast, Pirahna).  I don't know if Ebonite purchased the rights to the core/coverstock, but hopefully someone can read this, and help us Hammerheads out.

Yes, I also know that everyone loves the biggest "hook-in-the box" balls, too.  The urethanes cannot match that.  However, the name of the game is control and carry.  I will put the Blue, Burgundy, and Purple up there with any ball on the market today.  They are that good.

God Bless America, and good bowling.

Shawn

I dont know about demand not being there.  Look on ebay. NIB 15 and 16 pound blue, red, and black hammers are going for a minimum of 85 bucks plus shipping. Burgundy one just went for 135 plus shipping. Urethanes today dont sell because todays urethanes are designed to be bottom end balls, second-rate cores and coverstocks, and are marketed to beginners.

Hey drexell,  i didnt think you could still get new red sorcerer's from visionary,  I thought they were discontinued?
