How to resurface an old Black Hammer?
« on: November 20, 2010, 10:25:11 AM »
I ran 320 grit wet/dry sandpaper over it.  What next?

Thanks

Clean the surface grit off it and your through.

The old black hammers came from the factory at 320 grit sanded.

I just redid one for myself with my Haus machine...what a stinking mess!!!! I remembered the smell from when I used to clean mine up with my spinner but dang...this smell just will not go away....WHEW!!!!!

For the record I finished mine off at 500 grit and the ball is flat out awesome on the condition I drilled it for.
