Interesting Faball listings on internet.
« on: October 23, 2017, 10:48:14 AM »
Here is a rare #16 pink hammer.  As far as I know the hardest urethane ball ever made and pretty much the ultimate spare ball.  Already got me an Ogre (and thus why posted this to world+dog) but don't see this very often.

Pink Hammer is nice, but why no love for the Faball Nail?

I like the Nail, I always felt it was merely Pink Hammers boyfriend.  Same core and nearly as hard coverstock.

There's a dude in Hawaii that has been selling a bunch of Nails for years, and sometimes runs a sale on his blems.

Yeah the Nail is a neat ball too for sure.  Generally those aren't cheap either NIB but much easier to find than Pink Hammers (reason don't point those out).  Its also not as pretty even if as effective.  My Ogre urethane is better than either imo (favorite ball) for all but nostalgia reasons. Have too many spare balls as it is but if was going to go old school on a spare ball might get one of those old rubber balls with a 90+ reading on the durometer.  Can find those cheap on ebay as well lol.

Back in the day I had 4 pink hammers with different layouts for wood vs synthetics. I picked the first 2 up off the PBA truck in Milwaukee because they weren't available from the distributers yet. Shot 299 out of te box (stone 8) bowling a guy or $100.00 because he laughed at me for throwing a pink ball. I ended up making a few thousand dollars in pots and King of the hills with those balls. Only rason I got rid of them was I dropped to 15#
