Here is a rare #16 pink hammer.  As far as I know the hardest urethane ball ever made and pretty much the ultimate spare ball.  Already got me an Ogre (and thus why posted this to world+dog) but don't see this very often.

What is Faball? I am a new bowler. Is it under the Hammer brand from in the hey day? Just wondering cause the balls you have listed says Faball in front instead of Hammer. Will you be bidding on this ball?

No have 5 balls already in garage (and 15 in closet) and my Ogre Urethane is the modern equivalent to the pink hammer so not bidding.  That said if you can get a decent price this ball might even be a good investment though  (which I refuse to partake in, I drill everything I buy) as it is pretty rare and sought after (though being drilled before reduces value quite a bit).  Faball the company made hammers originally and generally the best old school urethane.  They mistakenly thought reactives were a fad and bought a factory at the worst time and end up basically going out of business and selling the Hammer name to Ebonite.  Visionary the bowling ball company is much closer in spirit and DNA to Faball than anything modern with the Hammer name imo.   Their factory in St. Louis in fact used to make Faball balls.  Visionary urethane is the best available today also IMO (and my driller's too).  That said this ball is harder urethane than any balls made before or since I believe.  This ball with polish will go straight on virtually any condition you will ever see.  Only some old rubber balls are harder.

There is a good bit more to the story, and it just wasn't buying a plant that did them in.  Hammer made plenty of Resin balls during the 90's some of which were quite good.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that the Glow Amulet was the hardest urethane ball that I've ever dealt with...plus possibly the coolest!

True.  Some of those Mo Pinel offsets are some of the best balls from that era.  Learn more and more as I go along.  Was in college at the time and honestly as poor as I was pretty sure I was still using polyester ball given to me while I was in high school and wasn't paying much attention to the industry then.

Loved the 3d offset. I saw a guy use one in my traveling league. Still rolls sweet!

This urethane ball will hook as much as almost any modern urethane.  Hooks so much especially on the back end for a urethane sometimes if not careful leaves washouts which even some my weaker reactives rarely do.

Grey Angle was another ball that was very hard, but often forgotten.

Yeah that one might actually make a better spare ball due to having a pancake core (much easier to find as well).  Have my Ogre Urethane so have that spot covered but darn if pinkie isn't a pretty ball.

I would laugh but that pink hammer is at $82 + 50 shipping with nearly 3 days of bidding left (guessing it goes for close to $200 total).  Collectors are a mixed blessing.  Without them there would be hardly any NIB stuff but guarantee at least one of the bidders on that ball is a collector who wants it down in his man cave (trust me bought from the type before).  Collectors are probably why I spent close to $200 with shipping for my NIB Purple Sumo but wish I could see their expressions of horror as I had holes put in it and actually use it for what it was meant for (sure doesn't roll like any other polyester ball I have seen, love that piece).  I put holes in everything but a Hy-Road spare and a handful of Visionary balls hanging onto for now (with them going tits up soon stocking up now).  I am not a collector at least in my mind lol.  I just like throwing gems as an old GTO convertible can be as enjoyable to drive as the latest Porsche or whatever.
