Red/Blue Pearl surface

One of my teamates has both the red and blue pearls. Original owner, never been surfaced. Looking at the covers I thought they might be due for a tune up. I tried to tinker with them over the weekend but didnt feel like I was making much progress. One thing i noticed more than any is that modern polishes dont seem to do much on these.

Anyone recommend steps to get it to as close to factory finish as possible?

Urethanes are tough to polish! Back in the day we used the Lustre King machines at the bowling center

I had a hard time polishing an old Faball Blue Hammer recently.  The Natural, however, is quite easy to polish.

I'd be careful with the Lustre King.  Some of them use wax, which I've heard clogs the pores on the ball and destroys the reaction.

Hopefully someone chimes in here, or maybe ask around at a local pro shop.
