He's just crying over split milk, so to speak.
Like plastic, urethane balls absorb oil at a MUCH slower rate than resin balls. So, IN THEORY, both can pick up oil and leave some of it further down the lane, creating carrydown. In actuality all balls have the potential to add to carrydown AND to dry up the area where you are throwing them. So your friend's resin balls are doing as much as, if not more than the Burgundy Hammer at destroying the shot. Resins will dry up the area faster than urethane will create carrydown. Plus more people use resin than use urethane.
He's just a whiner, like all bowlers are at one time or another.
Honestly, in my opinion, he doesn't really have a case.
