What is the response time?   And, do these have the built in speakers?

I found a pic on www.newegg.com

Looks really nice, I just wish I could afford one.  They are cheaper through newegg or www.nextag.com (around $20 cheaper, including shipping) but I am all about supporting the br.com community.

i work for a computer reseller www.adcpi.com one of our vendors tried to screw us by selling these acer monitors as the samsung equivilent, does not go over well with lockheed martin. we made them send the correct monitors and we kept the wrong ones. ebay: cannice00. i think we have a paypal account but i have no idea how that all works. so it is easier to just do money order and check, for now. im not out to screw anyone, just want to get these out of my office so i can have the room back.

Not to thread crap (well, maybe just a little), but this monitor can be found cheaper from a known on-line store (www.newegg.com), and other 17" LCD can be found cheaper at other stores (especially if you want to deal with rebates) and all have some sort of return policy or warranty.

Why would somebody buy these from you?  Sounds like you didn't even pay for these (they were a screw up from your vendor and you got the problem fixed and kept the screw up), so now you are trying to gain from your vendor's mistake.

If that is the case, you could at least offer a discount.

Seriously, if I can buy this from NewEgg for $225.99 shipped (http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824009027), why would I (or anybody else) send you a check or money order for $240?

either people will buy them or they wont. they were not free, we had to cover costs of making the order right to lmco, ie getting the correct monitors to them. these are all covered by the acer warranty. glad you are feeling good though, having the time to go research where they can be found cheaper for whatever reason. just thought i would offer them.

Getting over a cold, but feeling fine, thanks for the concern.  As for having the time, glad to take 30-60 seconds out of my day to do the research.

As stated, I was just merely pointing out, as did MarvinsSkeleton previously:

that they can be found cheaper elsewhere.  Should somebody decide to purchase from you that is their choice - I'm all about supporting the BR community as well, as I'm sure we all like to save money when we can.

I decided to post the link in case anybody wanted to check the detailed specs for things that you left out (such as brightness, contrast, dvi, etc).

Specs can also be found here: http://global.acer.com/products/monitor/1_series.htm#

Just so you don't take my post the wrong way, your price is better than anything offered on eBay for this monitor (after factoring in shipping, etc).

This is a very nice monitor (spec wise) and your price is reasonable.  Other 17" can be had for less money, but they will not match up on the specs.  12ms response time is amazing for an LCD.

Prices on these things seem to drop everyday...I just picked up a 17" through Fry's for a touch under $200.  Just a  few weeks ago, $230 was a good price.

If you decide to drop the price to like $100 shipped I may take one or two.
