Title: Anyone ever heard of a Kaboose ball?
Post by: John D Davis on June 28, 2013, 02:54:30 PM
I have a rare NIB Kaboose bowling ball. Its a solid red color and resembles the old red hammer urethane. If anyone knows anything about it let me know. I don't even know who made it etc. But I was told it was one of the earliest reactive balls ever produced. Its 14 lb. and has a cg marking that looks like  a P perhaps...

anyone???

I don't know if this is the one you have but it is the only red Kaboose I saw.

According to Larry Lichsteins 1995 bowling ball guide, it was made by a company called PARAMOUNT.
Here is what was said about it:
Red Kaboose (4) 13~ Reactive(75-79) 4-piece

C:Even hooking action. Easy to control with max hitting power on heavy to
medium oil.

Yup that's it.... Thanks
Now reckon its worth anything at all? Anyone interested?
I thought about putting it on ebay but I don't know if it'll sell being so old from a non brand name company.

I remember seeing these back during my "youth" bowling days.  Certainly one of the earlier reactives...I seem to remember them around the same time as the Sun Storms, etc.  Unless you have a ton of hand, I can't imagine these older reactives would perform on fresh...they may however be very good on the burnt up or super short patterns we run into from time to time!
