Ball Wanted
« on: April 08, 2004, 02:19:02 AM »
I'm looking for a 16lb. ball that doesn't do a whole lot. Something like a Hot Rod, Prime Time, Crash, Threat, Ego, Sonic Boom, somethin like that. lmk.

Who told you that the Prime Time doesn't "do a whole lot", I have a 15 lb PT that is drilled rather tame by todays standards (3x5) and when medium/medium-heavy oil gets a little long and sloppy it is the cat's meow.  Are you looking for a simple, symmetrically cored ball?

I'll be all set once I figure out how to get this ball to throw itself.

well to be honest i don't really know. i want something i can play pretty much down and in. something that does nothing til it gets to about...40-45 feet and then has a strong backend...not neccessarily a BIG move, just a strong one. somethin i can always fall back onto. i'm leanin toward..in order...Sonic Boom, PT, Ego...but i dunno...nobody's really had anything yet so...

you don't want a crash if you want a ball that "doesn't do much"  cause this ball hooks.  its got great length, then.... you are left standing scratching your head thinking "what the he!! just happened.  great ball!!!  but it does a lot more than nothing.

If you don't mind something older, I have a 16# Speed Demon.  I'm not sure where it would fit exactly on today's oils, but it was for med/light oil a few years ago.  BBR says light oil, but I thought it handled more than that.  Original drill, 4.5" pin, cheap.
