Price Justification Notice – PBR-15
Hello all. First and foremost let me thank all of you for your interest in the PBR-15. My name is Otto Ferguson III and I am the designer and manufacture of the PBR-15 and family products. The purpose of this post is not to bash the constructive criticisms posted on this thread. As I am very thick-skinned and very willing to see things from multiple perspectives. Furthermore, being a bowler, and a USBC Silver Certified coach, I value the game too much to disrespect it by attempting some sort of half a.. product launch. For anyone who has ever done business with Infinite Vision, you already know that we only deal in and with the best! For those of you that are new to us, we are deep into the game! Not your typical hacks. Check us out at
www.infinitevisionbowling.com.
Now regarding the PBR-15 let’s be clear about one thing. We do not promote this as being the cheapest (lowest cost) bowling rack available. We do however stand by our claim that it is the best available in it’s class! As kindly and accurately pointed out by Mr. Eric T. Spivey, the materials alone used on this rack fetch upwards of $40/rack. You’re more than welcome to check out your local Lowe’s, HomeDepot, or local lumberyard for price comparisons. Secondly, as also pointed out by Mr. Spivey, how much is your time worth? Mine is worth a pretty penny. And I would be doing myself and the paying customers a great dis-service in any attempts to short-cut the tightly controlled manufacturing process and multiple operations necessary to produce racks of this quality.
But for those who aren’t aware of how product cost are established in the real world. Every touch on a product adds cost! Having extensive experience in product costing I can assure you that the pricing structure is based on true manufacturing operations and capabilities. And despite what some may think, we didn’t simply pull a number out of the thin air. The quality of the rack speaks for itself! As the referenced video indicates, the design is well thought out and robust! The rack is made of pre-surfaced, straight, and squared pine (oak can be provided at a premium charge) it’s assembled using pocket holes all pieces are cut to exacting dimensions (ensuring interchangeability) all sharp edges are routed (to prevent ball damage and or cuts to your hands) the racks are screen-printed with our logo and we offer a replacement guarantee for any defective part for 30 days following your purchase. So again, you may find a rack cheaper elsewhere? But corners will be cut somewhere (often where you can’t see it until it’s too late)! As no company is in the business of loosing money! This rack may not be for you if cost is your primary purchasing guideline! But for those of us who respect and value quality, you won’t be disappointed!
Again thanks to all for the comments. I respect them all whether they are pro- or con- the PBR-15. We all have our preferences. I am open to any suggestions as to how we can optimize these products suit your needs. But selling them at a loss is not an option! I’ve got no problem with Walmart. But we all know that a polo shirt from there is no “Poloâ€! But if I’m looking for soap, best believe I be at Walmart, not Target. QUALITY COMES AT A COST! We all know this, whether we acknowledge it or not. This is my story and I’m sticking to it. Great Luck and Great Bowling. See you on the lanes!
