Best place to buy inserts/grips ??
« on: May 18, 2005, 09:51:55 AM »
Where is the best place to buy inserts?  Not concerned about colors, just tired of paying $8 a pair at the pro shop.

I have the ones that are flat on the bottom and those seem to work the best for me.

pm pba1g11..he has just about any type you'd want and his color selection is great. Very easy to deal with as well.

Just another option for you.

Gotta agree with azguy. Mike Cimba is the man to see. He's got a great selection and even carries half sizes. Any color just about too. Oh, and he'll give you an awesome deal on top of it. Can't beat him. Go to www.bowlbetternow.com and check him out.

Rather than start a new thread -

What is the best thing to use for removing and installing new inserts?

Would something like this be good? - http://www.buddiesproshop.com/product/1379/Hammer+Tool+Set.htm

Sorry for the ignorance, but don't know what a bevel knife and workout tool are used for.

quick...NO..
Go to www.masterindustries.com  they have an insert puller, some folks use a small knife, which is fine as well. I ude a puller, with a "T" handle, it's easier, faster (for me) and it cuts great.

But, remember , I do this for other folks and want a good looking job, doing it yourself, you can have a flaw or two and not that big a thing.

Just My Opinion.

I guess something like this?  I followed the links from Masters, but this was the only place I found with an insert remover.

Here's another vote for Michael Cimba.  Great pricing and wonderful customer service.  If you're buying five or five hundred, give him a shout.
