Best/Cheapest place to buy a Used/New DRILL PRESS?
« on: March 22, 2004, 12:58:00 PM »
I'm looking for a drill press so that I can start drilling my own stuff.

New or Used is fine... it doesn't matter as long as it gets the job done!

Where's the best place to buy a good/nice drill press for the cheapest price possible? I don't want a real high dollar one... but I want it to be a good enough one that it doesn't end up screwing my balls up. lol.

I would like to get one for the cheapest price possible.

I'm not looking to drill for the public, just drill for myself.

Let me know...

Find a KMart that's closing near you.  You can probably get the entire shooting match for under $300.00!

I have a Rockwell with 2 jigs and a set of drills. I no longer drill, so I am interested in selling, but shipping would be enormous.

Just to let people know, The drill needs a different chuck for these bits. The current chuck is too small. I bought this drill from a center a friend of mine owns when they got a vacu-jig. The bits are from my old press.

I am entertaining offers for the whole set-up. I will try to post pics on a website after like 4:00 et today, I will put a link up then. The drill is a rockwell, I have a second jig, ball stamps, bits, and i may have some sanding cabs which I will throw in also. this will be costly to ship, so pick up is prefered, but if you wanna pay to ship, I will consider.

I agree.  Look for a K Mart that no longer drills balls.  I bought one about a year ago for $250, got the press, 3 sets of bits, 3 hole sanders, a name stamper, and lots of other stuff.
