You had a transaction with Jeff Smith buying a bowling ball.
Do you have any other info to supply? Name address, UPS tracking number?


Would appreciate any info you have.

i have contacted ups and my local authorities for advice on this subject...

ups says that because the package was properly recieved by me, regardless of the condition, they are unable to persue anything in the matter, so not much help there.

i have gotten a couple PM's from people wanting to know the tracking number while i was out today... both my local authorities and ups have advised me not to give out the tracking number or any other personal information that i may know about this guy to ANYONE for ANY REASON. my local police have advised me that i, and whoever else has posted information about this guy, may already be guilty of LIBEL and may be subject to a civil suit by anyone who's information has been posted online, regardless of whether they are guilty or innocent of the crime in question.

having said that, my local police seem to be willing to get involved in this thing as much as they can. they have been in touch with the Wausau, WI police department and are investigating the matter. i gave the box to my local police and they are going to send it to the Wausau, WI police department to help them...

i have spent a good majority of my day trying to help you guys get your money back and get this guy caught. i don't really have much to gain from it, being that i recieved my stuff (even though the plugging was horrible). yet i STILL come home to find all this CRAP on here accusing me of being jeff smith and blah blah... i'm F**KING SICK OF IT ALREADY!!! i don't know what else i can do to prove my innocence, so i'm done trying... why should i even help you guys????? i'm starting to hate this forum... unbelieveable.

    Gary Smith bowls at Dale's Weston Lanes about twice a week, maybe just maybe this guy has a son named Jeff stole his dads idenity of being a pba senior bowler and the other jeff smiths address and phone number. Most thugs are not too bright and would not use enough sense to eliminate all things around them.

   I would get ahold of Gary Smith and see if any family members named jeff, it would not surprise me at all, so google Dale's weston lanes and leave a message for GAry to return your call.

WE need that tracking number.. How are you going to get in any trouble?? This guy has stolen over $1,000 of people's money here and we need that tracking number to have the guy that works at UPS track where the ball was shipped from.

The advice you are getting is crap.. NO way you can be held libel for giving out the tracking number as long as its not in a public forum.

I was believing you when you said you had nothing to do with all this but there should be no reason why you will not give out that tracking number to someone via a private message, no reason at all.. You are then not held accountabel for anything.. Its not posted in public..

Maybe when you find the guy, you can string him up to the rope tow over on Rib Mountain...after all, it IS the season and they ought to be getting everything in good shape for skiers.
