SILLY BALL prices at Buddies! But I got mine already!
Don't let them know I posted this or they may realize I'm sure they made a mistake!!!

I agree, Buddies prices makes pro shops look stupid. Manufacturers should do something about it.

Buddies is another example of what can be done when you purchase shoes by the tractor trailer load or balls by the pallet full. That's one reason I don;t try and compete with anyone in particular. I have what I have and try to make a few $$$ here and there but I try to make up for the extra $5 in my price with service.
I did just attend a seminar this past Friday on ways to combat the Internet pricing issues and we'll see what happens in my shop this season. Now with every ball purchase I include at no charge...
initial coverstock adjustment, monthly cleanings, yearly tune ups, guaranteed trade in on next purchase and free lessons on adjusting to your new ball.
We shall see if it helps.

Think about it....pins are wood, lanes are wood...
the weapon of choice is obvious...
CUT 'EM UP BABY it's BUZZSAW TIME!!!

Doug, if you were closer to me, I would buy from you. Where else are you gonna find a pro shop who will include all of that, plus care so much to help their customers use a new ball properly?!?

How am I supposed to knock all 10 down with one ball?!?

Why should manufacturers do something about it and what could they do?
Buddies is a legit pro-shop not just an on-line storefront. So they have great prices and service to go along with it. The consumer makes out and Buddies has
a great rep - what's wrong with that?? They're obviously doing something right.
If pro shops look stupid - don't blame it on Buddies. Look at what Doug is doing - offering some additional services to combat price differential. People that live near Doug are fortunate to have someone who doesn't "look stupid".
