Hello everyone,
We actually have a few tools related to this topic.
1) Precision Ball Compass - this tool is designed to layout pin, center of gravity, and mass bias distances accurately and quickly. All aluminum construction makes the tool very sturdy. Your yellow pencil tip touches the surface of the ball at a 90 degree angle so that the compass and pencil never slip and scratch the ball during layout. The precision compass uses a steel pin to hold the tool to the ball so that you are getting very precise measurements versus a flexible rubber suction cup or other type of device that have room for error.
2) Jayhawk Axis Reversing Tool - this tool is designed to reverse the bowler's positive axis point coordinates once the location of the PAP has been determined through ball layout. By setting the tool to both the horizontal and vertical axis coordinates for your bowler, you can rotate the tool to show all centerlines available from that PAP without having to draw the perpendicular lines each time.
3) MoRich Armadillo - this tool is probably the best and easiest way to actually locate a bowler's positive axis point from an existing bowling ball. You simply match the concentric lines with the bowler's track, and then mark the positive axis point at the end of the tool. I think this is a must have for any prop shop.
