Got an oil soaked ball you want revived?
« on: August 04, 2003, 12:11:02 AM »
I am going to a trade show this week and plan on buying the new Ebonite Hook Again revivor system. The only problem is that I don't have any equipment that's old enough to have a bunch of oil soaked in.

Anyone wanna volunteer a ball to give it a go???

I'll do it for free and only charge you shipping...

Any takers????

Doug, I have a ball I could send you, the only problem is that I dont have a ball to bowl with if I dont have this ball. I am in the process of re-arranging my whole arsenal and unfortunately only have 2 balls currently in use. The ball I want to send is my Brunswick Zone Pro Azure, the only other ball I have to throw is my White Dot. Let me see what I can come up with. By the way, do you know what the turnaround time is on this process??

process takes 24hrs...  so add shipping & handling times onto that.

Doug,

I could send you my V2 Solid. I have been bowling a year and a half with it without rejuvenating it. I pretty much know what shipping would be to your place already. Let me know.

OK guys....

I'd like to try it on a particle, resin, pealr resin and a urethane to see the effects on different types of balls.

What I plan on doing is using my digital camera to take pics before and after. If I see a dramatic difference I will post them on my website and after you try the ball out again, I'll post your response, positive or negative, with the pictures.

If that works, general and kalanaar, send away!!!! I'll be getting the system this weekend I hope so I'll be able to get the balls done early next week.

Address is:

RR#2 Box 2066
Friendsville, PA 18818

This is my home address so that I can work on them here and not have to run back and forth to the pro shop everyday to check on them.

Let me know guys!!!!

If I get too many offers here I am gonna have to start charging :-(

What would be a going rate? Say $25 with return shipping included??

I cna do the first batch at this price I guess if you'd want to be my test subjects.

If it works as advertised I am going to run a special...
Hook Again Treatment
Light resurfacing
Elixir Treatment (if desired)

What do you think an appropriate price would be for the local folk?? What about Internet customers?

From a proshop viewpoint, I wonder if this is really worth the time.  The most balls you can do in a weeks time is 7 since it takes 24 hours for the stuff to work.  It's going to be hard to make any kind of living off of resurfacing only 7 balls a week.

Ebonite's pro shop version has shelving that holds four ball units so that you can process four at a time.

Exactly right Amigo, besides this method is a park it and go type deal. You can start it and walk away. There is no need to do anything other than clean the ball up when it's done so you can be doing other things while the ball is cleaning.
