Title: Its been asked before, but I am looking for.....
Post by: Rock77 on July 15, 2003, 04:48:26 AM
Anyone know what each color scotch brite pads is equivalent to in grit. Does anyone know where I can get them. I can find the green ones no problem, but I was told the maroon ones are 320 grit and if that holds true, those are the ones I need. Can someone help??

Click on Cleaning, click on Tools, click on Cleansing Pads.
They have 3M Scotch Brite:

7445 - White pad, called Light Duty Cleansing  - 1200-1500 grit
7448 - Light Grey, called Ultra Fine Hand      - 1000 grit.
7447 - Maroon pad, called General Purpose Hand - 320 grit
6444 - Brown pad,  called Extra Duty Hand      - 240 grit
7446 - Dark Grey pad, called Blending Pad      -  150 grit
Green Scotch Brite is available EVERYWHERE. It's 600 grit.

Thank you both. That is much needed info. Is wildoctopusbowling a decent place to order from though. I dont know if they fall in the category of online proshops not to do business with.

Wild Octopus is a fine shop and reputable people.  I would highly recommend doing business with Doug and the guys.
