« on: April 26, 2005, 06:09:59 AM »
Just Curious on the prices everyone has seen for the Ball. Got our first one in yesterday and have 5 more in next week. Not sure what price we planned on yet but we will take pre-orders for the 5. They will be 15 lbs if your interested send me a message i will be able to say for sure that they will not be less than 170.00 + Shipping. These balls are limited.

Those bowling balls are supposed to be sold exclusively in pro shops.

I would be surprised if selling them over the internet doesn't break some sort of sales agreement with Columbia.

Actually $170 is pretty cheap. Most of the proshops I've talked to are betweem $200-$230.

But it still isn't supposed to be sold over the net.

Actually, $170 doesnt make the shop much more than $30.  Believe me, my driller attended the Columbia seminar where these balls were given out.  My guy told me how much they cost, wholesale, and the requirements to buy them.  That shirt you get with it is a joke.  I think Columbia has shot them selfs in the foot with this deal.  One time orders, thats right there are only 16 available to each shop!!!  And they had to be ordered all at once, only one order per shop. Where I am it is the off season for bowling, why in the world would a pro shop want to stock a ball at this time of year.  Especially one that is so limited, but has no real marketing attached to it.
