I went to bowlers paradise just recently and was looking for new equipment and saw this blue particle Nitro is it new or old?
-
I saw this too! Bowlers Paradise usually doesn't keep old equipment for long.

Someone should ask Ebonite AND Bowlers Paradise for explanations.
I just checked Bowling Ball reviews, under Ancient History. The original Blue Nitro was urethane; the original Nitro/R (R for resin) was purple with the Vortex II core (or the Vortex II has the Nitro core.).
This ball, for sale by Bolwers Paradise is blue and black swirl and they say it is reactive. Maybe this is a redo like BowlingBall.com re-introduced the Fire Quantum and the Green Quantum by having Brunswick re-manufacture the minimum run of 1000 balls. Maybe Bowlers Paradise did the same with Ebonite ????
