SUPER RARE JORDAN CARD---EDITED!
« on: July 17, 2005, 03:19:43 AM »
just seeing if i could get rid of it, money for college or equipment that could be sold would help out the financial situation im in.

I collected cards for the first umpteen years of my life and managed to pull a card for the ages.

Brand:1998 Upper Deck Hardcourt
Insert: Jordan Holding Court
Card: J30: Jordan/Jordan
Serial Number 18/23! Silver! ONLY 23 MADE!!!!

An incredibly rare find in any sports market, a limited edition print of the Michael JOrdan.  I tried selling it a few years ago, but couldnt entertain any SERIOUS offers.  A year or two ago they had the card listed at 1000 dollar minimum and a 2000 maximum price.  Since then the card has be delisted on beckett, saying it is "too rare to price".

I am listening to any and all offers.  Cash, NIB, USED or an interesting trade of things not listed.  Card is in great shape and has been in a plastic case for  5 years now.  I just really want to get rid of it. (no visionary trades please :-/) LOOKING FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE OFFER!!!  Will take cash and/or balls.  LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN

I might be able to get some pics up in a few days, so if you left me your email i could send you some if you would like.

THanks for your interest.

Bob

He states his card is numbered to 23.. That card in the auction is not.. I have a signed jordon UD jersey card numbered to 23, better check Beckett to see what that thing is worth..

I don't know alot about cards, but the card number he has listed is J30 and the one in the auction is J30.....Why would the make 2 cards the same, unless one was misnumbered either in the auction or from bobbo.

Just curious is all.

UD does some weird stuff. He is saying the card he has is a "silver" edition card numbered to just 23. I am sure they have a "gold" numbered card numbered to 1 of 1.

card probably shouldn't be more than $150.00 unless it is a jersey or auto card.  Here is a similar card for sale on beckett.com  A dealer is asking $130.00 for a similar card.

I totally agree. Like I said before, I have a Jordon UD autographed jersey card number to 23 and I was offered $1000 for it several years ago but decided to keep it. I wish I would have sold it now.. Oh well..

the card is a ltd. edition like jkiser01 said.  and the ud signed jersey should still be worth the same.  and if i had the cash to buy it trust me i would lol.  the card is valued in beckett at about 50 to a 100 bucks at one time.  maybe a little more.  and it stated that silver numbers would be worth 20 to almost 40 times as much as the card is much rarer and more valuable.  this card is much more than 150 bucks. richmond is a hasbeen as that is why its going dirt jeep. the jordan guy...he was pretty good. LOL

so any interest?

so what do u think its worth?  if you look on ebay or beckett, all jordans #ed to 23 that are not autos/jerseys are worth under $200. I have worked in a card shop for 3 yrs and I have a pretty good idea of what these cards are worth.  Take it to your local card shop and he wont even offer you $100 for it.

As a sports card collector myself, bowlallthetime is correct.  Numbered cards are not as hot compared to the earlier years.  Even nunbered autograph jersey cards are a dime a dozen these days.  Good luck with the Jordan.
