looking for 14lb Mutant
« on: November 09, 2005, 01:33:25 AM »
My wife's Mutant cracked a couple weeks ago, and it was one of her favorite balls, for our local house.  IF anyones got one laying around, let me know, and maybe we can work something out.

I suppose if you wanted one really bad or if she simply demanded you replace it:http://www.bowlingballmall.com/bowl/product.asp?dept%5Fid=91&pf%5Fid=850&mfgid=14&Shopper=70M25ENF9TP78H162D7LG17L2F1587G2

I know how you feel.  I've got one (14#, no less) and I love it.  Can't get rid of it, though, since the little lady wouldn't met me get anything to replace it.

Well this and her Eeyore Vis-aball are the only ones she's got that aren't lane one, and we just can't find a good match up for this house besides her Mutant, so if need be, i guess i would buy one new, at least this way i can match the drill i guess.
Thanks

Does she have or has she ever tried or considered a super carbide bomb,  after seeing this ball lately on a Regular THS perform superbly I have become much more prone to recommending it.  I suggest a similiar drill and Perhaps with a higher grit smooth finish similiar to what the mutant was, something like 1500-2000 sheen for her maybe.  The one I have been seeing lately was my old SCB and its out of box 600 I think and it turns out to be very much more versatile than I had originally thought and there is not any soup aorund here.

Holy crapola, Batman.  I paid half that for mine from Buddies (go Closeouts!).  With drilling, it might have been $150.  I don't care what they paid for it, that's outrageous.  It wasn't that expensive new.

Yeah bowlingballmall is always high but sometimes they do have hard to find balls and if you must have it then no cost is too great.

Well i Guess i didn't really consider trying the SCB polished up a bit, i know when i had mine, i couldn't even bring it near this house, it would suck the oil off the lane from my bag Her nugget roles nicely as well, but it burns up a bit it think (cause she can't carry with it here) but none the less she's in the pocket Allot with it.  And then of course her cherry bomb, is great for the first game, but once there is carry down, back to the bag it goes.

Yeah Shelly, its pretty expensive, heck like JPR said, I can almost get a new SCB for that price, And i keep thinking that Nationals is on our back doorstep this year so she is shooting with me, and I have a feeling she's gunna need something AGGRESSIVE in the oil.
