wtb: Ball Plug
« on: March 06, 2012, 11:10:47 AM »
Anyone have plug material they are not using?  I have a couple old balls laying around that I would like to plug and redrilled....  Don't want to buy a 2 gal kit though...  Prefer the epoxy material, rather than the quick plug urethane...  Partial bottles (as long as the material will still set) is OK.
LMK,
Thanks,
Scott

Order the small kit from Easy-Strike.  No very expensive and works as good as any other plug I have used.

I hear good and bad things about that ball plug.   I think people confuse the urethane plug with the resin epoxy plug thus they do not like the outcome.

The urethane plug to me is the material they use to make thumb slugs.   Not what you want for plugging balls.

I use Tec-Line but ball plug but it is getting expensive.  If you buy the Easy Strike plug, please give a report on what you find.

The Easy Strike thumb slugs are great!!

OK. Ordered a 1 gallon kit...  will report back with results once it arrives.   Previously, I had used dba and ebonite plug when working in a shop.  Liked the dba, on the fence about the ebonite material...

If you order and don't like the Easy-Strike stuff for any reason, I will buy it.  Haven't have an issue with it yet.
