Thanks for the defensive words pnj but it's not needed... if people choose to run off at the mouth about topics they have no knowledge of, let them do it. I have never drilled a ball for Darren and he knows it.
Ask SawMill or Typhoon or Axeweldr about my drilling. I have never had 1 single complaint about my drilling, but nobody ever asked about that. I have numerious references but I have only ever had 1 person ask about them. Ask Brickguy221 about how thorough I am in getting specs and making sure I understand what they mean.
What happens if something is wrong? simple....I STAND BEHIND MY WORK. If it is my fault, I replace the ball AND pay the shipping to get the old one back.
Case in point...
I had a guy buy a Deuce late this spring. He liked the reaction of his Trauma ER (until the core cracked) so I drilled it the same exact way. He was less than happy with the reaction. The ER actually hooked more than the Deuce. So I replaced the ball....no questions asked. He was very concerned that I would be cutting myself short. I said too bad if I lose money on the deal...it's my fault and I'll fix it. That's right....you heard me...NEW BALL I didn't plug the old one and redo it...because it was my fault as a driller.
Now if you give me the wrong specs, it's not my fault. I drilled a Spare Storm for someone and I drilled it exact to the specs he gave me...well he complained it was too short. The spec sheet he gave me said Full Grip on it so I asked if that meant it was the total span, he said yes. So I drilled it as that was the full grip. Well it wasn't. Was that my fault? no. I did offer to pay to have his local shop fix it. The guy said he didn't want a "new" plugged ball. So we compromised and I gave him a better ball off my used rack...I think it was a storm eraser or something in place of the spare storm and I paid shipping to get it back.
As I have said...I am about customer service. 5 years at WalMart taught me that much...the customer is what matters. Profits are nice but make the people happy and they come back. If I am in the wrong, I'll make it right. If it was due to wrong information coming my way, we'll work something out.
5 years of the business, 100's of balls drilled and 2 mistakes. Not bad in any arena...
